Smart Rack Mobile is a rack designed for the movement and management of components of various types and sizes near production lines. Equipped with a Pick to Light and integrated sensors, it enables complete and automated
material traceability, providing real-time responses to production dynamics.

The Smart Rack solution was developed to speed up the management of materials
inventory for upcoming use and to respond in real time to production needs.

An initial, practical, and versatile module that allows you to test all the main storage management functions of Essegi Automation

Main Functionalities:

  • The shelf accommodates reels from 7″ to 15″ with a single solution, thanks to movable dividers that allow operators to easily adjust the storage space. 
  • An automatic detection system recognizes the presence of the divider and autonomously reconfigures the shelf setup.
  • The system enables automatic recognition of stored items, allowing for:

    – During insertion: Automatic reading of the unique code and precise placement of the material in the designated position.

    – During extraction: Retrieval of the material without the need to manually read the code.
    The pick-to-light system and an acoustic signal guide the operator through the work steps by lighting up the position’s LED:

    – During insertion: LEDs of free positions light up, flashing, and a sound signals successful operation completion.

    – During extraction: LEDs for positions to be extracted light up, accompanied by an acoustic signal confirming correct pick.
  • As with all Essegi Automation products, it is connected to the Autosmd Server, allowing full integration with all storage systems.
  • Communication with the server is via Wi-Fi, or through a wired LAN network if used in a fixed location.
  • A 13.3″ touchscreen display makes all storage management operations easy and intuitive through user-friendly software.
  • The software indicates the material’s location, uniquely identifying the smart rack, shelf, and storage position number.
  • A battery LED indicator guides the operator through position signaling and task execution.
  • The battery system allows it to be used even without a direct connection to the company power network, enabling movement within the company plant.
