Results confirm the value of integrated ISM storage systems
This edition of Productronica recorded a remarkable flow of visitors at our booth. This perception is fully confirmed by the official figures released at the close of an event that remains one of the most anticipated and well-attended in the industry. The exhibition reported a 10% increase in total visitors, reaching 47,000 professionals from 98 different countries. These figures reflect both a broader participation of exhibitors, up by 20%, and a wider geographical spread of exhibitors themselves (+15.6%), which together led to an overall visitor growth of +4.3%.
From our point of view, the results are even more encouraging compared to previous editions and to the general performance of the exhibition. Considering that ESSEGI AUTOMATION’s booth maintained the same location and size as in last edition, the comparison with 2023 becomes even more meaningful and measurable. Our participation in Productronica 2025 recorded a 45% increase in visitors, with more than 900 additional presences from 52 different countries and a total of +500 newly represented companies.
Let us therefore analyze these figures through the lens of the innovations and the added value of product and service offering presented this year in Munich by ESSEGI AUTOMATION.
Overall, our participation in Productronica involved sales and marketing teams, software specialists, service and application engineers, alongside the presence of project partners Dropexcess, ONO Lean Logistics, and VC Count. Together, they formed a truly international team speaking seven languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Chinese and Serbian.
Products showcased at Productronica 2025
As usual, the entire range of towers from the Ultraflex Series defined the exhibition area dedicated to storage systems. From ISM Ultraflex 3600 F.A. to the MIM, including the ISM Ultraflex 3900 extension, Productronica 2025 offered the opportunity to see all the main ISM Ultraflex modules operating in full automation mode. The system was therefore complete with an AMR, which became a real focal point inside the booth.
In addition to the latest software innovations, clearly presented by our development team in the area dedicated to ISM software and its most recent releases, this year the ISM Ultraflex configuration was enhanced with two additional modules. The first is a new conveyor integrated with the AMR to speed up the transport of cases toward the elevator modules of the warehouse. The second is the new Inline X-RAY module, introduced thanks to the recent partnership with VC Count. This innovation is made possible by the advanced inspection system’s ability to interface directly with ESSEGI AUTOMATION software, enabling automated counting of components on reels and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy in material traceability.
To complete our portfolio of advanced smart storage systems, our Productronica booth also featured the ISM Incoming Material Station, equipped with the new overhead camera, along with the Pick to Light warehouse series: the well-established ISM 500 and the more recent ISM Smart Rack Mobile.
Other partnerships and new services
Beyond the product offering, this year also brought significant innovations in terms of services and collaborations aimed at increasing efficiency for assembly companies in material management and ensuring uninterrupted production flows.
The most surprising proposal, one that we ourselves welcomed with great enthusiasm as it took shape through collaboration with our project partners, is the opportunity for customers to join a new electronic material exchange platform. This platform allows supply and demand to meet directly, without intermediaries. It is a new software module designed according to the same ISM logic as our warehouses, capable of providing a concretesolution to component shortages and stock-out risks, while at the same time addressing the need to free warehouses from excess or soon-to-expire materials.
Starting from Productronica, the new “Drop Excess” platform becomes an exclusive ESSEGI AUTOMATION software option, capable of driving a significant shift in warehouse inventory management and substantially increasing the productivity of electronic assembly companies.
Another valuable partnership launched at Productronica 2025 is with an Italian company of excellence in vertical and modular storage systems, ONO Lean Logistics. Thanks to integration with ONO Lean Logistics towers, ESSEGI AUTOMATION can now manage large quantities of components of any size using the same ISM logic, delivering complete solutions for storage and material handling from the main warehouse directly to Pick&Place machines.
The Italian aperitif: a toast to our team
Once again, the strong synergy within our team was felt to the rhythm of music during the Aperitivo Italiano that crowned our participation in the 50th edition of the Munich trade fair. An informal yet eagerly awaited moment, it perfectly encapsulated our Italian style and our ability to work as one team, both internally and alongside our partners, customers, and suppliers.
It is through collaboration that the most innovative and ambitious projects are born—projects that enable us to grow as a team and to strengthen our role as a global point of reference in electronic manufacturing.
When technology, people, and vision move in the same direction, the outcome is not just efficiency or innovation, but a continuous and harmonious movement: JUST FLOW!
